The Monster At The End Of This Book

Grover, the loveable clutz with a heart of gold, has always stood as one of the most iconic characters from my childhood. Aside from the adventures of his alter ego Super Grover, I can't think of anything more prevalent in his many appearances, than 'The Monster At The End Of This Book', written by Jon Stone and illustrated by Michael Smollin.

I've attempted to recreate the pages of this classic book using modern 3D techniques whilst keeping in line with the original layout. The intention is to sit a series of prints on the wall in my daughter's room to accompany her while she reads her favourite book.

3D elements such as character assets, props, lighting and renders created using Blender; Character rigged using a custom Rigify armature; Textures created in Substance Painter; Speech bubbles and secondary assets created in Adobe Illustrator.
